This weekend, we took a nice bike ride while visiting some family in Michigan, about 15 miles. Not too speedy, but it had a lot of rolling hills. (Borrowed bikes and helmets from the in-laws!)

If you answered the Mighty Mac, you are right! The picture is from a trip we took this year to Mackinac Island, MI – a fantastic place for cycling. In fact the people of Mackinac are such cycling enthusiasts that cars are not allowed on the island. The only way to get around is by foot, bike, or horse. Being there is a fantastic experience. Can you imagine if cycling was the main form of transport in your community?
The road around the island, a state highway in fact, is a beautiful and scenic ride, perfect for any level of fitness. The interior of the island has more hilly roads and trails, but it doesn’t take a body builder to be able to take in these magnificent views.
